I wanted to let you know twelve unique reasons why you should consider telling your friends about Family Foot Care:

  1. Computerized Walking and Running Analysis:

This sophisticated high technology device scans your feet at 300 times per second (10-15 times normal video speed) as you walk across the force plate. Thousands of tiny sensors capture the distribution of pressure throughout the sole of your foot. From your step, the computer displays on its screen the two dimensional and three dimensional representations of the pressures under your feet. This information is also summarized in an analysis report that can be printed for you to see. The report findings help to evaluate your foot function and to determine if the symptoms you are experiencing are related to faulty foot biomechanics. This information assists us in determining your need for orthotic therapy, and aids the lab in manufacturing prescription orthotics to support your feet.

  2. High Technology Low Pain Techniques:

I am now pleased to offer electrical stimulation therapy and infra-red light therapy. These are two painless physical therapy modalities which are excellent for relieving pain. Research suggests that light therapy is effective in treating pain associated with tarsal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, wounds, post-surgical pain, and inflammation. While only recently cleared by the FDA for use in the United States, light therapy has been used extensively throughout the world for more than 20 years. Also known as cold laser or or phototherapy, light therapy is backed by extensive research with over 500 published studies covering a wide range of conditions. Treatments are fast and easy to apply. With treatment times generally less than five minutes, light therapy is a perfect complement to traditional soft tissue treatments. Preferably, treatments are administered 2-3 times per week for optimal results.

  3. Diagnostic Ultrasound:

This imaging technique allows identification of soft tissue injuries and problems. These include sprains and strains, plantar fasciitis, and even stress fractures in their early stages.

  4. Customized Shoes and Sandals:

Maybe there are not too many guarantees in life, but good shoe fit should be one of them. I would like to present the professional footware program with professionally selected brand-name shoes. These shoes have a 100% unconditional satisfaction guarantee. In a recent survey, the American Podiatric Medical Association reported that 95% of its members agree that footwear is a major factor in the success or failure of a podiatrist's treatment of his patients' foot conditions. We provide professionally selected shoes from companies such as New Balance, Brooks, Acor, Soft Spots, Footsaver, Stride Lite, InStride, and Apex. These are standard shoes that have just the right design characteristics to make them ideal for patients with various foot conditions and foot structures. I invite you to visit my office to receive the professional shoe sizing evaluation that will be used to determine the best fit in one our our standard , professionally selected shoes. In addition, we provide custom made sandals made from computerized gait scans of your feet. Finally, we have a diabetic shoe program in which you may be eligible through Medicare for one pair of extra-depth shoes and three pair of heat molded inserts every year.

  5. Laser Technology:

I was the first in Frederick to offer the flashlamp pulsed due laser. This is one-of-a-kind laser technology which successfully removes most warts. This is a relatively painless procedure, and most patients require no anesthetic whatsoever and are able to return to normal activities almost immediately. With more satisfactory results that the carbon dioxide laser, this laser leaves very little scarring which may accompany other treatments.

  6. Board Certification:

Dr. Lieb was certified by The American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery in 1992. He was recertified in 1998, 2003, and 2008. He will again face recertification every five years by case submission to make sure that he is practicing within the standard of care. Many boards do not require recertification.

  7. 30 Minute No Waiting Guarantee:

If you wait more than thirty minutes for your scheduled appointment, the next is free.

  8. Diabetic Neuropathy Testing:

I have equipment in the office for performing nerve conduction studies in the office for diabetic neuropathy and nerve problems.

  9. America's Top Podiatrists (2006-2010):

Dr. Lieb was honored by the Consumer Research Council for one of America's Top Podiatrists based on education and continuing education, number of years practicing in the podiatric profession, and member and affiliations with professional podiatric associations and organizations.

  10. E-Prescribe and Completely Electronic Medical Records:

Dr. Lieb has E-Prescribe which is an electronic prescription system which sends your prescription directly to your pharmacy minimizing your wait time for your medicine. He also has completely electronic medical records to increase efficiency.

  11. Foot Care Products in the Office:

Dr. Lieb offers several excellent foot care products in the office. Biofreeze is an excellent pain relieving gel for stiff and sore feet and ankles. He also offers Hydrostat Cream for dry and cracking feet. New this year is Fungasil liquid which kills the fungus in thickened, yellow, and discolored toenails.
